BEAUMONT TX—United States Attorney Matthew D. Orwig along with Port Arthur Police Chief Mark Blanton announced that a 34-year-old Port Arthur man was indicted late yesterday in connection with a fatal carjacking in the Eastern District of Texas.
ALEXIS BERNARD TERRY was indicted for carjacking which resulted in the death of Paul Reasoner and brandishing and discharging a firearm in furtherance of that crime of violence.
According to the indictment, on November 27, 2006, Terry confronted Reasoner and forcibly took possession of Reasoner’s vehicle in an incident that resulted in Reasoner’s death. The indictment also alleges that Terry brandished and discharged a firearm during this carjacking.
If convicted of the carjacking offense, Terry could receive a life sentence or the death penalty.
