Incident at 5900 Southwest Freeway
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5900 Southwest Freeway about 4 a.m. on Sunday (March 25).
The victim is identified as Donald Adrian Doucet, 20, of 5022 South Willow. He sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officer R. Swainson reported:
As Mr. Doucet and a friend were leaving a restaurant, in Doucet’s white 1996 Lexus, a black male in a vehicle, possibly a gray colored PT Cruiser, pulled alongside Doucet’s car. Doucet and his friend had a brief conversation with the suspect and quickly merged onto the southbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway. The suspect pulled alongside the Lexus again and shot Doucet one time in the head. Doucet lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the right side cement guardrail.
